Llandudno Town is situated in the County of Conwy, North Wales. It is a Town which became famous, and therefore prosperous, in the Victorian era. It has been called the "Jewel in the Crown of North Wales", and one visit will convince you why.
Starting at the "Little Orme": As you look towards the Town, your eye follows the line of the broad, flat Promenade as it sweeps gently around the Llandudno bay. The first thing that strikes you is the dedication to the original Victorian architecture. Such is the condition of the frontage, that you could be forgiven for thinking that you had stepped back in time, to when the Town was first built. Surprisingly, some of the buildings are no more than just a few years old. This goes to show what pride these people have in their heritage.
You will see, some way along the Promenade, the Bandstand. This is used during summer months and many happy hours have been spent enjoying the various entertainments here. Further along, at the end of the Promenade, you will see the magnificent Victorian Pier. This is a tremendous monument to Victorian engineering and reaches out some 2220 feet into the sea. Along its' length you will find various kiosks, amusements and cafes. At the pierhead, there is a bar serving fine draught beers etc. At the entrance to the pier, which is free, there is a candyfloss kiosk, a doughnut kiosk and, in the summer months an original "Punch & Judy show".
Standing as if on guard over the pier is the headland known as the "Great Orme". This tremendous promontory has just about all you could want, and is surely a venue in its' own right, but, for now, more about the Town. You are afforded a wealth of top-name shopping, alongside the more bespoke retailers. The cuisine offered within Llandudno will satisfy just about all cultures whether you are looking for a snack or a multi-course meal. Again, the Town centre has been kept in line with the Victorian architecture and is a pleasure to just wander through. There are various places of worship available.
For the more curious, there is the "Town Trail". This consists of fifteen panels, located around the Town, which you should take the time to follow to gain some interesting insight into Llandudno Towns' past. At the other side of the Town is the Area called the "West shore". Here you will find beautiful sandy beaches and terrific views across to Snowdonia, Conwy Castle  and the Isle of Anglesey.
